78-Year-Old Barbara Eden Dons ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ Costume for Gala

(Dominik Bindl/Getty Images) Barbara Eden had the perfect costume for a fancy fete over the weekend. The 78-year-old put on the iconic pink-and-red pants and cropped top that she donned as Jeannie in the '60s TV series "I Dream of Jeannie." Eden wore the ensemble as she appeared at the 2013 Life Ball in Vienna, Austria, which bills itself as one of the largest AIDS charity events in the world. (Sean Gallup/Getty Images) (Sean Gallup/Getty Images) Every year, thousands gather to watch a fashion show in the square outside City Hall, then 3,780 people with tickets that start at hundreds of dollars apiece attend the upscale dinner inside City Hall, where the partying doesn't end until 5 a.m. Demand for the tickets is high; in 2012, more than 95,000 people requested them.
Obviously, Eden took the ball's organizers seriously when they encouraged guests to wear "fancy, unusual outfits!" (Twitter) She bared her taut belly and sported a braid — just as she did in the old days — while sharing the stage with the night's host Fergie and the man she called her new master, President Clinton. Eden even posed backstage with costumed glam rocker Adam Lambert for a snapshot. So that wish you had to see celebs in some outrageous looks on your first day back at work after the holiday weekend? Granted.
